Leading worship is the art of being an invisible conduit between man and God. Anything we do which draws the attention away from Him and onto ourselves must be avoided. Whether this is a lack of excellence or an excessive expression thereof; a shoddy appearance or one that is overstated; overbearing loudness or indiscernible quiet, it can divert the focus off of God. And while there is grace for those whose hearts are inclined toward Him, we must strive towards that place of perfection that gives to Him all of the glory.
