Worship ebbs and flows like the tides of the ocean. We want to be in tune with those waves and ride along with them as we lead in worship. It is not necessary to be playing or singing every moment–for silence is just as much a part of music as the notes are. Not only does this add variation and depth to the music, but it also gives us a moment to pause and refocus on the Lord, and allows those worshiping with us to express their own hearts. Let your music breathe with the rhythms of the Holy Spirit. Take time to listen in the midst of your worship, for this is where we will find Him.
